Hey there! 2020 has been a year of anxiety and undesirable feelings for millions of people around the world and since we’re already walking through a new year with a lot of opportunities for each one of us, I would like to share with you 6 habits for a healthier and happier life. Habits that if you follow, will definitely transform your life for the best and will also change the way you approach and handle any difficulty in the future. The list is short and its mostly things that you might have already heard or read about. So what I have to say first of all, is that the number one element to improve your life and be happier, is your willingness to change it. The hardest part is the first step, but the benefits that follow believe me they worth it. So let’s start..
1. Drink at least 2L of water everyday
Our body is composed around 60% of water. Automatically this means that water consumption, is a fundamental source to keep our body Healthy in all aspects and Hydrated.
I always carry with me, my own flask so I can drink any time during the day and same time, I’m avoiding plastic use.
If you’re not used to drink much water, you can start with the help of other healthy liquids, if you prefer their taste. Personally I just stick with water and tea.
2. Physical Exercise
It is important to make the physical exercise a daily habit. And don’t lie to yourself with the excuse of not having the time. These excuses are keeping us behind. So set your alarm and go for an exercise. Do whatever you like more.. Yoga, Pilates, swimming, gym, even a walk in nature.. no matter what it is, just go ahead, get up and do it! Because my friend our body is truly amazing; and if you stretch it and pass its comfort zone it will always return with a better version of itself. If you haven’t been practicing for long time, well I’m not gonna lie.. The first week will seem a bit hard, but every single time during your practice and after it you will feel much more better. Your self-esteem will completely rise, you will be happy exactly where you are and you will notice that your energy and attribution will blast off. Are you still sitting?
3. Get some SUN!
The sun is shining for us all the time! Never forget that..
Such a beautiful saying that my bestie and I, used to say to each other every time things where not going so well.
To the point though..
Getting a sufficient amount of Vitamin D is important for the normal growth and development of bones and teeth, as well as improves resistance against certain diseases. Sun also works against the depression!

4. Read at least 30’ everyday
Reading develops the mind and it’s a way to learn and discover new things. It is one of the few things left nowadays, that gives the mind the freedom and opportunity for imagination and in line with that comes the fact that amplifies the creativity as well. Also, there is this saying.. ”The pen is mightier than the sword.”
5. Eat fruits and veggies
Fruits and Veggies are the greater source of Vitamins and Minerals, they’re low calories and low-fat, you can eat them and take them with you easily anywhere any time and they do protect us against cancer and other diseases. They are full of colors, super tasteful and if you like to be more creative, you can make some amazing daily smoothies. They are my favorite! Did I convince you yet?
6. Quality of Sleep
If your living in a city and having a routine that does not satisfy you to the fullest and you wake up tired almost everyday then you should definitely try the next tips..
- Try to get to bed early.
- Forget any form of screen (phone, tablet, laptop, TV), for at least one hour before you go to bed.
- Try reading a book before sleep
- Have a real and deep conversation with someone.
-Get outside for a walk or even your balcony and just relax
- Gather/ play with friends, talk about ideas, visions and not for other people or - things that will bring unwelcome feelings.
- Try not to consume junk food or alcohol, instead eat something healthy and ideally let it be 3hours before you go to bed.
- And at last, I strongly recommend you to meditate even for 5-10 min.
Those are 6 habits that we should start with, for a Healthy and Happy life. I hope you’ll be induced through this article, to make the move and step by step get your life where you want to. Nothing great came from comfort zones. No matter what others believe or say, what really matters is what you have inside you and your courage to allow yourself to blossom. Always believe in yourself and keep focusing on your targets in life. Beautiful things are awaiting.. And remember that the flowers, they all blow in their own colors and shape and that’s what makes them unique and beautiful. Imagine what a boring world it would be if all of the flowers were the same.. It works the same way for people. Blossom in your own and natural way. The only competition you have to go through, is with the person you where yesterday.
